Herman J. Mettler

Mr. Mettler was an Honorable Mention All-American in football at Santa Clara, where he earned a degree in Engineering. He came to Livermore in the 1930s and was a teacher, football coach, and administrator at Livermore High School for many years. He taught Boys' P.E., Mathematics, and Mechanical Drawing. He then served as Director of Construction when the elementary and high school districts merged.
