Maynard S. Moreland

Mr Moreland was a sixth grade teacher at Junction Avenue School for 34 years. He also coached basketball and football, taught Sunday school at the First Presbyterian Church in Livermore, owned the Dairy Queen on Second Street in Livermore, and was a reserve police officer with the Livermore Police Department. He was born in Mishawaka, Indianna, and was educated at Bob Jones University and San Jose State. He was survived by his wife, Adonna, a teacher at Marilyn Avenue School; daughters, Lucerne, Suzanne, and Jayme; and sons, Seldon, Weldon, and Lyndon. The family stated a preference for memorial gifts to the Livermore Valley Education Foundation, 849 East Stanley Blvd., No 143, Livermore, CA 94550
