Mrs Wilhite was a string teacher in the Livermore Unified School District for 15 years. She was born April 8, 1926, in Shelby, Montana. She died at her home in Sonora on August 15, 1995. She was survived by her husband, Richard E. Wilhite; two daughters, Martha Lynn Brugger and Aileen Marie Williams; and three sons, Richard Glen Wilhite, Clifton Eugene Wilhite, and Nelson Wade Wilhite. The family stated a preference for contributions in her name to Nature's Conservancy, 1815 N. Lynn St, Arlington, VA 22209.
